The Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday passed the state’s Value Added Tax (VAT) and anti-open grazing bills.
The two bills were passed after unanimous votes by the lawmakers at the sitting where they were read for the third time.
Immediate after they were passed, the speaker of the house, Mudashiru Obasa, directed that the clean copy of the legislations should be forwarded to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for assent.
He thanked his colleagues for the “historic exercise” which its public hearing held on Wednesday with many expressing support for the two bills.
