Lamido Sanusi, the Emir of Kano state has received his appointment letter reinstating him in the position, four years after being deposed.
Governor Abba Yusuf reinstated the traditional ruler on Thursday after assenting to a legislation that scrapped four additional emirates created by his predecessor Umar Ganduje.
Mr Yusuf, thereafter, ordered the affected Emirs to vacate their palace within 48 hours before a court order prohibiting his reinstatement resurfaced online.
On Friday, the governor and other dignitaries gathered to witness as Mr Sanusi received his appointment letter.
