The house of assembly in Kano on Thursday repealed a law creating five emirates in the state.
This is coming two days after it resolved to amend the state’s Emirs (Appointment and Deposition) Law.
Umar Ganduje, the state’s former governor leveraged on the amended legislation in 2019 to boot out then Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi, the following year over differences between them.
