The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reportedly issued Rochas Okorocha, Imo West senator-elect, his certificate of return.
This is coming from Sun Newspaper which quoted its source as saying. The decision to issue Mr Okorocha his certificate of return might not be unconnected to the ruling of a Federal High Court in Abuja which had ordered it to do so.
The action of the electoral commission also comes despite another court order preventing it from issuing the document to the immediate past governor of Imo State.
While citing declaration of result made under duress the commission vowed not to issue the document which will enable the lawmaker-elect join his colleagues at the red chamber.
