Chukwuma Ibezim, has been sworn in as the Senator representing Imo North senatorial district at the Nigerian Senate.
Mr Ibezim took his oath of office, administered by Ibrahim El-Ladan, the clerk of the red chamber, on Tuesday.
“With this oath taking, the Imo North Senatorial District is fully represented,” says Ahmad Lawan, Senate President who presided over plenary.
Before his swearing in today, there have been months of running battle between Ibezim and fellow party man, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, both of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over who was the authentic party candidate for the Imo North election.
