Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulkadir, the Emir of Gaya, Kano State, is dead.
Mr Abdulkadir, a first-class monarch, died of ill-health in his palace Wednesday morning, a palace source quoted by The Nation said.
He is said to have been indisposed since appointment in 2019. He died at the age of 91.
Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmed, also confirmed the demise of the traditional ruler.
