Lasun Yusuf, a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, has dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Mr Yusuf, TODAY POLITICS gathered, left the party by submitting his resignation letter on Friday at the Osogbo secretariat of the APC in Osun State.
His exit might be connected to the internal wrangling in the ruling party. He belongs to the camp of Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, who is at loggerheads with the state governor, Gboyega Ayetola.
Mr Ayetola, backed by Bola Tinubu, a national chieftain of the APC, won the party’s ticket for the July 16 gubernatorial election in the state.
