Olu Agunloye, a former minister of Power and Steel, has been arraigned at a federal high court in Abuja over allegations of fraud.
Mr Agunloye, who served in the administration of former president Olesugun Obasanjo (1999-2003), pleaded not guilty after the charges preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) were read to him before Justice Donatus Okorowo.
The judge, on Wednesday, ordered he be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Center pending when he would be granted bail.
He was apprended last month, shortly after the anti-graft agency declared him wanted, in connection with alleged forgery, corruption and the Mambilla power project.
