The daughter of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has declared their support for the ongoing campaign to scrap Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS).
The call for the scrapping of the police brutal unit which began in 2017, recently resuscitated due to the killing of a man in Delta State about weeks ago.
While the online version of the campaign began immediately after the incident, demonstrators, earlier in the week, took to the streets nationwide. At the weekend, it went global with Nigerians in diaspora protesting in support.
Demonstrations went on today despite the president’s plea and his intention to reform the unit of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). The vice president shares same opinion as his principal.
The daughter of the vice president, Kiki Osinbajo, declared her support Saturday afternoon on Instagram, an action which defies her father’s stance supporting SARS reform.
The daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari also reportedly declared her support but when TODAY POLITICS checked her social media accounts for verification, nothing of such was found.
