The Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC) has reportedly arrested Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of the immediate-past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano.
Mrs Obiano was arrested on Thursday, reports an online news medium, Journalist101, which quoted sources at the commission.
The senatorial aspirant came to limelight during the inauguration of Governor Charles Soludo when she and the widow of late Biafran warlord, Bianca Ojukwu assaulted themselves.
Her husband was picked up on March 17 by the EFCC while on his way to the United States after handing over power to Mr Soludo. He was later granted administrative bail, with the anti-graft agency denying the former governor which has been on its watchlist was being persecuted politically.
Details of her arrest are still sketchy as at press time.
