The economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) has filed fresh 8-count charges against Hadi Sirika, a former aviation minister and his brother, Ahmad Abubakar.
The duo will be arraigned alongside Enginos Nigeria Limited, a company owned by Mr Abubakar over an alleged contract fraud.
Mr Sirika who served in the previous administration is accused of awarding contracts to the company and abused his office in the process.
The fresh charges are different from six other contract fraud charges against him already before a judge of an FCT high court, who adjourned trial to June 10, 11, and 20.
He was arraigned on May 9 alongside Fatima, his daughter; his son-in-law, Jalal Hamma; and Al-Duraq Investment Limited, over an alleged N2.7 billion contract fraud before Justice Sylvanus Oriji and all the defendants pleaded not guilty before they were granted bail of N100 million each.
Today, he will appear before Justice S.B. Belgore of a federal capital territory (FCT) high court in Abuja.
