In a bid to mitigate the sufferings of the members of his community, Abiriba, Ohafia, Abia State-born business mogul, Chief Mang Iwo on Monday, distributed various food items and other palliatives to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Popularly known as Nwakibeya Ndigbo, Chief Iwo who is into Real Estate business not wanting the people of his community to experience hunger as a result of the stay-at-home order, decided to distribute food items to them.
50 bags of 50kg parboiled rice, 30 cartons of vegetable oil, 10 cartons of Maggi by 16 packets, 60 cartons of noodles, 30 cartons of tomatoes and 20 bags of salt by 80, were some of the items distributed at the various communities in Abiriba on Easter Monday.
The young estate mogul did not stop there, outside his home town, he gave N500,000 to a widow group to share among themselves.
He equally founded a Support group that would be saddled with the responsibility to reach out to many Nigerians and send palliatives to them during the lockdown to the tune of N500,000.
Also, within this period he has reached out directly to friends, families and neighbors in the tune of N3m as direct cash palliatives to individuals and families that need help and called on him for help through his Nwakibeya Foundation.
The good thing about his goodwill and kind gestures is that it has no political undertone, as he is not into politics.
