Paul Emeziem, the speaker of Imo State House of Assembly has reportedly been impeached.
Another member, Kennedy Ibe, was immediately announced as the replacement.
This is coming barely a week after Amara Iwuanyanwu was removed as deputy speaker of the legislative arm.
Mr Iwuanyanwu who is being fingered as plotting the removal of Mr Emeziem reported stormed the chamber early Monday morning and got his colleagues to effect the removal of his former principal.
About 19 out of the 27 members of the house endorsed the Monday ousting.
