Websites of government agencies in the country have been hacked by hackers protesting alleged police brutality.
Anonymous hackers had last week made known its intention to crack down on government websites as its own support for the ongoing demonstration nationwide demanding the reforms of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and its units.
Earlier in the week, it gained access into the website of the NPF and uploaded confidential information from the site online.
On Friday, the websites of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) went offline over attacks by the cyber attackers.
Also, the Twitter account of the National Broadcasting Commission, is now under the control of the hackers that have continued to claim responsibility for the cyber crime.
