Shehu Sani, lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the Senate has advised Nigerians to be careful on how they embark on the door-to-door campaign of the All Progressive Congress, (APC).
President Muhammadu Buhari had on Thursday urged youths and women belonging to the APC to commence a door-to-door campaign telling Nigerians why the party should be voted for in the general election billed to hold early this year.
The president made the call while inaugurating the APC Women and Youths Presidential Campaign Team (PCT) at the banquet hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
“I charge you to reach out to all Nigerians door-to-door and remind them why we need another four years,” Buhari said.
Reacting to the call, the Kaduna lawmaker advised those being recruited for the campaign to be mindful of the way they carry out the task.
Sani said those who will carry out the campaign may be assaulted while trying to do their assignment.
“If the President or Governors or Senators or reps or any candidate recruit you for “a House to House campaign” and you reached to a house where the residents told you to “enter make we hear you well well”,my Brother, pick race,” Sani tweeted on Friday.
“My advice to those who are recruited by politicians to embark on “Door to Door” campaign;Know the landlords or the tenants before knocking on their door, because people are angry; If you are not cautious and you knock some doors, when it opens, “no be pesin you go see na stars,” the Senator advised.
Elected on the platform of the APC to the Senate, the lawmaker has dumped the ruling party for the opposition Peoples Redemption Party (PRP). He recently gave reasons why he should be re-elected to the red chamber.
