Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has declared his interest to join the 2023 presidential race.
Mr Umahi made the declaration on Tuesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
His declaration comes a day after a former Lagos State governor Bola Tinubu went public about his “life-long” ambition of becoming Nigeria’s president.
The governor who addressed State House Correspondents after the meeting said he came to inform Mr Buhari of his next political ambition.
He joins the growing list of aspirants who have publicly declared interest for the top job.
