Information reaching TODAY POLITICS has it that Human Rights Lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, has joined the legal team of detained leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB).
Mr Ozekhome, according to our source, has arrived at the Abuja Federal High Court where Mr Kanu is expected to appear for the continuation of his trial.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) will join the legal team of Kanu currently led by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
The federal government on Monday amended its charges against the separatist leader, increasing it again to 15-count charge from 7-count charge.
At today’s court sitting, Mr Kanu is expected to now enter his plea to the new charges preferred against him by Justice Ministry.
