President Muhammadu Buhari has officially approved the suspension of Ibrahim Magu, the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
This was made known in a Friday afternoon statement by Umar Gwandu, Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations to the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
Mr Gwandu said the president also approved a replacement to head the commission pending the conclusion of corruption allegation against Mr Magu.
“EFCC Director of Operations, Mohammed Umar, should take charge and oversee the activities of the Commission pending the conclusion of the ongoing investigation and further directives in that regards,” the statement partly read.
