A federal high court sitting in Abuja has dismissed the certificate forgery suit brought before it against Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State.
Mr Obaseki who secured another term of four years in office last year September was dragged before the court over his academic credentials said to be deceptive.
The was the same reason given by his former party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) which disqualified him from seeking re-election on its platform.
But delivering judgement today, the judge, Ahmed Mohammed, dismissed the suit filed by the party and Williams Edobor, one of its chieftains.
Mr Mohammed held that the evidence of the plaintiffs is at variance with their allegations.
