Herdsmen in Ondo State have been advised to comply with the directive of Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of the state.
Muhammadu Kiruwa, the National President of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) gave the directive today while speaking to newsmen after a meeting with state governors from the South-West geo-political zone.
The meeting facilitated by the presidency held in Akure after the 7-day ultimatum handed to herdsmen to register with the state government or vacate forests reserves in the state.
Mr Kiruwa who said the governor’s directive for registration was issued two years ago but not complied with also directed his kinsmen to halt night grazing in the state.
Herders were also advised to stop invading farms with their animals.
