The Katsina State Government has ordered the reopening of fuel stations and cattle markers earlier closed to checkmate banditry in the state.
Governor Aminu Masari had directed the closure after discovering that bandits in the state were being supplied fuels and rustled animals.
The new development is contained in a statement by Mustapha Inuwa, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on Saturday.
Mr Inuwa said the state governor, Mr Masari directed the two emirate councils – Katsina and Daura – to entreat district and village heads to be on the lookout.
“The government would not hesitate to impose the closure where a resurgence of any dubious activity is noticed,” he threatened.
