The All Progressive Congress (APC) has postponed its inauguration of the 422 members of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council on Monday.
The ruling party announced the development on Sunday in a statement, saying the event will now take place on September 28, 2022, two days forward as earlier planned.
Although no reason was given for the postponement, it came amid the reported protests by some Northern state governors that their nominees were not included in the list.
The aggrieved governors who said it was not the first time the party’s candidate, Bola Tinubu, offended them, resolved to work against the life-long ambition of the former Lagos governor to succeed Mr Buhari.
