The State Security Service (SSS) has released the first batch of Sunday Igboho supporters after detaining them for eight weeks.
Arrested on July 1 while raiding the Ibadan residence of the secessionist, the secret police killed two persons it said were armed during its midnight operation.
It continued to detain the supporters who are twelve in numbers, despite several court orders for their release.
On Monday, the SSS released eight of those detained while still keeping four of them in custody.
At a press conference, the freed persons appeared with their lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi, who demanded that others be released also because they all have been granted bail by the court.
