The Coronavirus disease cases in the country have exceeded 22,000 with the confirmation of 649 fresh cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The new figure announced by the disease agency Wednesday night, brings the total number of confirmed cases to 22,020 out of which 7,612 have been treated and discharged while the death toll increased to 542.
In the last 24 hours, 275 patients recovered from the deadly virus while 9 deaths were recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
