Uche Nwosu, the 2019 Imo State gubernatorial candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) arrested and released at the weekend has narrated what transpired.
Mr Nwosu was picked up at a church service outing after the burial of his late mother and flown to Abuja before being released.
Narrating what transpired at a press briefing on Tuesday, he said his ordeal was politically motivated, implicating the administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma while thanking the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Baba for his intervention.
He denied social media reports of him refusing to honour police invitations and challenging anyone to publish the letter where he acknowledged receiving the invitations.
