VIDEO: Fighter jets will be used to destroy Nigeria, Mbaka warns Buhari

Controversial Catholic Priest Ejike Mbaka has warned President Muhammadu Buhari against deploying fighter jets to parts of the country to tackle rising insecurity.

Mr Mbaka who heads the Adoration Ministry gave the warning on Sunday during homily.

Mr Buhari at the weekend had announced that the recently procured twelve Super Tucano fighter jets will soon be deployed nationwide.

“It is pertinent to state in this regard that, we have received new equipment in our fight against any form of insecurity from our friendly countries,” the president said on Saturday in Kaduna at the Passing Out Parade for Cadets of 68 Regular Course (Army, Navy and Airforce). “These assets will be deployed to accelerate the fight against insecurity in all parts of the country.”

For the cleric, the fighter jets if deployed will be used to collapse the country. Mbaka’s comment comes weeks after reports said bandits and Boko Haram terrorists were undergoing training on how to shoot down aircraft used by the Nigerian military for air strikes.

Intense gunfire from bandits caused a Nigerian fighter jet to crash in northwestern Zamfara state in July with the pilot luckily surviving by ejecting from the aircraft before it was grounded.

“The president should take this message,” Mbaka said while addressing his congregants. “The jets you are buying are going to be used to collapse Nigeria.

“Please, the first person to meet President Buhari after this message, after today, should tell him that all these jets they are buying are going to be used.

“God told me to tell him that all these jets are going to be used to destroy Nigeria. Let him stop buying more jets and begin to build more industries.”

Mbaka who said he doesn’t want to hear that Nigerians are being killed added that “nobody is going to give an award to a father or a mother for killing his or her children.

“The solution is simple, put the round peg in a round hole and banditry will die. People are not agitating for nothing,” he added.

He urged the federal government to listen to the reason for agitations because similar scenario exists in the military, police and even in the church.
