Kuje correctional facility in Abuja came under attacked by unknown gunmen on Tuesday.
The attackers who stormed the facility at about 10pm were said to have been repelled by security operatives at the premises, reports Sahara Reporters.
The attack on the detention facility prominent for holding high profile offenders came hours after the reported ambush on the advance convoy of President Muhammadu Buhari.
