Trending Video: Police abandon vehicles, allegedly flee after gun battle with IPOB’s ESN

Members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) reportedly battled men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) yesterday in the South-East geo-political zone.

A video clip circulating on social media showed two vehicles allegedly belonging to the NPF being abandoned while its occupants where no where to be sighted.

One of the vehicles is a Toyota Prado Sport Utility Vehicle while the other is an Innosson Motors white van with security siren mounted on its roof.

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who shared the fifty-four seconds clip on facebook said the confrontation occurred in Orlu in Imo State.

A voice of a man behind the camera obviously a member of ESN said the automobiles were abandoned by armed officers of the NPF after they (ESN) overpowered the now absconded officers.

He said the officers trailed them into the bushes and opened live rounds on them with the security outfit of the secessionist group having no option than to retaliate fire for fire.

Mr Kanu while sharing the video clip warned security agencies to steer clear of South-East bushes as anyone found in bushes must be treated as a bush meat.

His warning comes months after he ordered herdsmen residing in bushes in the Igbo predominantly area to vamoose and rent houses in the cities and live like humans.

The herders are allegedly being accused as arrowheads of insecurity bedeviling the nation. Killings, rapings, kidnappings are some of the crimes being levelled against them.
