Tinubu cancels birthday colloquium over Abuja-Kaduna train attack

Bola Tinubu, former Lagos State governor has cancelled his 13th birthday colloquium due to the attack on Abuja-Kaduna train attack Monday evening.

Bandits had attack the train conveying hundreds of passengers from the nation’s capital to the capital of the North-West state with many feared killed.

The attack forced the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) to suspend further operation along the route.

Describing the incident as a national tragedy, the presidential hopeful cancelled the event that kick-started minutes ago.

The septuagenarian said he cannot be celebrating while the nation is mourning its citizens.

“I am very sad about the situation and it calls for sober reflection,” Mr Tinubu told the gathering which had dignitaries already seated.
