Asari Dokubo, former Niger Delta militant warlord in the Southern part of the country has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to grant the request of the Igbo extraction to leave Nigeria.
Mr Dokubo made the demands in a new video clip posted on social media early Wednesday, berating one of the major tribes in the country.
His latest outburst comes as a response to the criticism that greeted an earlier video clip of him talking down on Igbos and recalling how his ancestors sold them off as slaves during the slave trade era.
The militant leader who brandished AK-47 rifles while threatening the Igbo extraction said he would have towed the line of his father if not for the British intervention in ending slave trade.
“Please, in the name of God…, why do we allow these vicious circle of irritation of one people, claiming to be victims when they are the agrressors, when they are really the people offending others?” the militant who appeared provoked asked at the beginning of the eight-minute clip.
He also called on the national assembly to grant the request the people of the South-East geo-political zone and those wishing to join them in seceding, arguing that once that was done, there will be more resources for other nationals to share.
Secession activities have been rife in the South-East since the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) was extraordinarily renditioned and detained at the Abuja headquarters of the State Security Service (SSS).
He said after they have seceded, the Igbos will no longer be allowed to freely trade within Nigeria, promising to ensure that.
“We will not allow them (Igbos) pass Ijaw territories to go and export their these things…” he vowed. “Please, if you do this… President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, you would have done the greatest thing to the whole of the black race.”
He also accused them of tarnishing the image of Nigeria where ever they found themselves across the globe.
