Hilary Clinton, former United States Secretary of State, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Army to halt the killing of peaceful protesters.
Mrs Clinton made the call late Tuesday, hours after dozens of demonstrators were massacred by soldiers in Lagos State.
The nationwide protests calling for police reforms began peacefully weeks ago and have escalated to violent confrontations by thugs sponsored by agents of the government.
“I’m calling on @mbuhari and the @hqnigerianarmy to stop killing young #EndSARS protesters. #StopNigeriaGovernment,” She wrote on Twitter.
