Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters, has appeared in court for arraignment on charges of treasonable felony, money laundering and insulting President Muhammadu Buhari.
The charges were pressed against him by the Federal Government through the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.
He was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) early last month for spearheading a revolutionary protest and has been in detention since then despite a court order for his release.
His appearance in court today is the first since he was taken into custody.
