Show us your primary 6 certificate, PDP challenges Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole, the esrtwhile national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been challenged to make his primary six certificate public if he has any.

The challenge was thrown at him by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on whose platform, Godwin Obaseki, the Edo State governor, is seeking re-election.

Mr Obaseki, formally in the APC moved to the PDP, after being disqualified from using the platform of the APC on account that his academic credentials are said to be deceptive.

Last month, Oshiomhole, a former Edo State governor, said his successor was disqualified from seeking re-election due to the claims of the PDP which his party later found out to be true.

“…I need to assure you that the decision of the screening committee to disqualify the sitting governor was based on the evidence provided by PDP which they found to be correct and you do not repeat the same mistake twice,” the former APC helmsman said while marketing Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the party’s candidate, whom he had earlier described as a thief unworthy of handling public funds.

But the PDP has now come out to say that the former governor does not have the first school living certificate issued to graduating primary school pupils. The chairman of the party in Edo State, Dan Orbih, made the claim while addressing party members and supporters in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state, yesterday.

Mr Orbih challenged Oshiomhole to make his primary education credentials public if indeed he has one.

“They said Governor Godwin Obaseki, who graduated from the University of Ibadan, has no certificate. I challenge Adams Oshiomhole to show us his Primary 6 certificate,” he said while advising the APC chieftain to allow Edo people to decide who governs them.

“In four years, Godwin Obaseki has done more than what Oshiomhole did in eight years,” the PDP helmsman added.
