In series of tweets, he said the new governor will pilot the affairs of the state for a day.

“Say hello to ‘Miss Governor’ Eniola Ajala, the one day Governor of Lagos State. She is a student of Lafiaji High School, Lagos Island and won a state-wide spelling bee competition,” Sanwo-olu said.

“I am impressed with her attentiveness, attitude and awareness of issues that affect the State.

“These initiatives encourage students to show an interest in governance, leadership and team work.

“They promote healthy academic rivalry among students and enhance their spelling, vocabulary and public speaking abilities,” he added.

Touring some government agencies in the state, the interim governor demanded the improved welfare for teachers and civil servants.

“I would want to make a request that the welfare of teachers and civil servants be improved upon,” Ajala pleaded, “Their contributions are invaluable and we must appreciate that.

“I also commend the Head of Service for the various innovations he has brought into the system since he came to office. The contributions of the civil service as the engine room of the government are evident,” she added.
