The dethroned emir of Kano Lamido Sanusi, has been arrested by security operatives.
Mr Sanusi removed from office today has is currently being conveyed to Nassarawa State where he is expected to spend the rest of his life.
The decision to banish the former Central Bank Governor is said to be in line with the tradition of the Kano Emirate Council.
His replacement is expected to be announced any moment from now by the state governor, Umar Ganduje.
