Rano Emirate gets new Emir

Rano Emirate, one of the four newly created Emirates by the state governor, Umar Ganduje, has gotten a new administrative head.

This followed the passing away of immediate past Emir of Rano, Tafida Abubakar Illa, who died on Saturday at the age of 74.

Mr Ganduje has appointed a replacement in the person of Kabiru Inuwa, as the new Emir of Rano.

Mr Inuwa before his appointment was the district head of Kabiya. He, alongside two other nominees – Muhammadu Umar (district head of Bunkure) and Munir Abubakar (Chiroman Rano) – were presented to the governor by the kingmakers for selection.

Mr Ganduje, in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Alhaji, charged the new traditional ruler to be just and fair to his subjects.
