Police rescues two soldiers abducted by Boko Haram terrorists

Two Nigerian soldiers abducted by Boko Haram terrorists Monday afternoon have been rescued by men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

The terrorists reportedly abducted the soldiers after exchange of fire power which led to the dead of some of the military men said to be patrolling Auno Road, in Borno State.

They were also reported to have carted away military equipments from the attacked patrol team.

“At 14.30 Hrs of July 13, 20120, an Army Patrol Team was attacked by Boko Haram along Auno Road and killed two soldiers and kidnapped others while carting away two of military’s gun truck, AK 47Rifles and unspecified numbers of ammunition,” PR Nigeria quoted a situation report it sighted.

“Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Nigeria Police on pin down point (operation), at the area went after the terrorists.

“After a gun battle recovered one gun-truck, rifles and rescued two soldiers alive. All exhibits handed over to the Commissioner of Police Command,” the report added.
