The new Edo State House of Assembly (ESHA) leadership after its sitting at an undisclosed location in Benin City, Edo State, visited the state Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo.
In the plenary attended by 17 members of the the legislative arm of government, Victor Edoror, emerged the speaker of the house after Frank Okiye who is loyal to the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, was impeached.
Mr Edoror led other lawmakers to visit Mr Kokumo at his office at the state force headquarters, Benin City, where police boss pledged his support to the new leadership of the state assembly.
Meanwhile, Mr Okiye has described his impeachment as a non issue.
