Police bars APC national secretary from secretariat

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has barred Waziri Bulama, the national secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from accessing the national secretariat of the ruling party.

Mr Bulama who arrived the secretariat Thursday morning met police officers who denied him entry saying they were acting on the orders from above.

The police, this medium gathered, arrived at the premises minutes before 9am and ordered staff to leave the premises.

Addressing journalists at the gate of the premises, the ruling party official called for the immediate opening of the headquarter.

“I came here this morning to resume work and met policemen who said they have instructions from above to seal the secretariat,” he said.

“I have called the commissioner of police and he said he is sending a senior Officer to see what is happening.

“The workers of the secretariat are servicing over 16 million members of this party across Nigeria. They are like civil servants,” Mr Bulama added.
