The Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS) has published faces of some inmates that escaped when unknown gunmen struck a correctional center in Imo State Monday.
The armed men who freed thousands of inmates while carrying out the attack also invaded the state police command headquarters and freed detained suspects.
While some of the inmates have reportedly returned voluntarily, thousands of them are still at large. On Friday morning, one of them was nabbed by the police in Akwa Ibom State.
Publishing photos of the escaped inmates, the NCS on its Twitter handle noted that efforts are on to get clear pictures of the first batch bearing blank spaces.
