Osinbajo’s aide speaks on auto crash involving his principal

Laolu Akande, aide of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has reacted to social media reports of his principal been involved in an accident.

Mr Osinbajo’s car reportedly somersaulted at the airport road with his entourage struggling to save the number two citizen.

But speaking on the incident, Mr Akande said it was not the top presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) that was directly involved.

In a post on Twitter Monday morning, he explained that Mr Osinbajo was on his way to the airport from where he will journey to Ondo State where alleged Fulani herdsmen massacred Christian worshippers on Sunday but stopped to lend a helping hands to victims of auto crash in the route before continuing on his journey.

“On his way to the airport this morning, VP came across a road traffic accident, stopped to lend assistance, & ensured victim was taken to the hospital with VP’s convoy ambulance,” Mr Akande explained. “He then proceeded on his trip and is now in Ondo State heading to site of yesterday’s attack in Owo.”
