Oshiomhole tweets aftermath of Edo election, Nigerians react, say he’s now a motivational speaker

Nigerians on Twitter on Thursday mocked the erstwhile national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole, over his candidate’s loss at the gubernatorial election last weekend.

A day before the Saturday’s exercise, the former governor was seen in a Channels Television video describing himself as a political lion who would end the career of the political lizard.

He was describing the incumbent and now governor-elect, Godwin Obaseki, as the political lizard who will be defeated at the poll.

As the election went on Mr Obaseki who sought re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled over 307,000 votes to defeat Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the APC who scored over 223,000 to come second.

While the national ruling party congratulated the governor on securing another term in office, the erstwhile chairman remained silent until yesterday’s evening when a video of him at the gym surfaced online.

On Thursday morning, he took his Twitter handle and said not all contests deserve being won as such life must continue.

“’In life you win some, and lose some but life goes on.’ Adams Oshiomhole” the former governor tweeted.

Reacting to that, some Nigerians mocked him saying the political lizard he vowed to defeat at the poll ended up destroying his career politically.
