Onyeama recovers from COVID-19, resumes duty

Geoffrey Onyeama, the minister of Foreign Affairs, has recovered from the Coronavirus disease.

Mr Onyeama had last month tested positive for the pandemic disease. He thereafter commenced treatment and embarked on self-isolation.

But in a Wednesday statement, the minister said repeated results indicated he is now negative.

“By the very special grace of God my latest #COVID19 test result came back NEGATIVE after three weeks isolation,” Mr Onyeama disclosed.

“I am eternally grateful to my family, the C-in-C and VP, the medical team, relations, friends, colleagues, religious leaders and numerous well-wishers, who through their care, prayers, fasting, messages of support and encouragement never let me walk alone,” the minister added.

Meanwhile, TODAY POLITICS, gathered that the minister has resumed and reported for duty today at his office.
