Nwajiuba resigns as junior education minister over presidential ambition

Emeka Nwajiuba, Minister of State for Education, has stepped down from his position to pursue his presidential ambition.

President Muhammadu Buhari acknowledged his resignation during the weekly federal executive council meeting on Wednesday.

He commended Mr Nwajiuba, who is seeking to succeed him on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), for his withdrawal and ordered other ambitious ministers to step down before May 16, 2022.
