North-West govs move to reconcile with bandits to end insecurity

State governors from the North-West geopolitical zone say there are considering making move to reconcile with bandits in a bid to end insecurity in the area.

This was made known by Aminu Tambuwal, the state governor of Sokoto while briefing newsmen in Zamfara State.

The Sokoto State helmsman paid a visit to his Zamfara counterpart, Bello Metawelle, whom he said negotiated with bandits to bring insecurity in the state under control.

Mr Metawelle had last month urged bandits to surrender a rifle and get compensated with two cows.
