Nnamdi Kanu: Court adjourns trial to October 21

The failure of the State Security Service (SSS) to produce the detained leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu made the federal high court to adjourn the trial.

Our source had earlier informed us that the fugitive was brought to court but when the judge came in for the sitting he could not be seen.

Mr Kanu was abducted from Kenya and brought back to face his trial. The court ordered the secret police to keep him in custody and return him on July 26.

At the sitting on Monday, the prosecuting counsel told the Justice Binta Nyako court that logistics reasons made the SSS unable to bring the seccessionist to court.

Justice Nyako thereafter adjourned the trial to October 21.
