Nigerians knock Buhari for locking Twitter comment section

President Muhammadu Buhari has been bashed by Nigerians over his decision to lock the comment section of his Twitter account.

His decision to restrict citizens from replying his tweets might not be unconnected to the act of Nigerians using his page to grow their followership base on the micro-blogging site.

TODAY POLITICS had reported how Nigerians in reaction to the president’s tweets spammed the comment section with IFB which means “I Follow Back.”

For some time now, the president has decided not to open the reply section of his tweets to the public and this has earned him attacks from critics.

Below are few reactions picked by this reporter.

Despite rejection by citizens and civil society organisations, his administration has made several efforts and not backing down at stifling free speech saying if left unchecked it could destabilize the nation.
