Nigeria records 437 fresh COVID-19 cases

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has announced the confirmation of 437 new cases of Coronavirus disease infections in the country.

In its latest daily data published Sunday night, the NCDC said 142 patients recovered from the deadly virus while 3 fatalities were recorded nationwide in the past 24 hours.

The new figure brings the total number of confirmed cases to 46,577 out of which 33,186 have been treated and discharged while the death toll increased to 945 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 437 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (107), FCT (91), Plateau (81), Kaduna (32), Ogun (30), Kwara (24), Ebonyi (19), Ekiti (17), Oyo (8), Borno (6), Edo (6), Kano (4), Nasarawa (3), Osun (3), Taraba (3), Gombe (2) and Bauchi (1).
