New cases of Coronavirus disease numbering 436 have been recorded in the country by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
According to the NCDC, 161 patients recovered from the deadly virus while 12 deaths were recorded nationwide in the last 24 hours.
The new figure brings the total number of confirmed cases to 20244 out of which 6879 have been treated and discharged while the death toll increased to 518 in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 436 new cases are reported from 19 states- Lagos (169), Oyo (52), Plateau (31), Imo (29), Kaduna (28), Ogun (23), FCT (18), Enugu (18), Bauchi (17), Bayelsa (14), Rivers (8), Osun (6), Kano (6), Edo(5), Benue (5), Adamawa (3), Borno (2), Abia (1) and Ekiti (1).
So far, 12, 847 cases are active while 113, 575 samples have been tested across the country.
