Mobile network operator, MTN, on Saturday suffered a nationwide outage that affected calls and internet data services.
It users took to various social media platforms to lament over the development which began at noon.
Acknowledging the outage amidst frustrations from its customers across the country, the network provider took to its Facebook page to apologise while assuring that its team were working on resolving the issue.
“Some of our customers are having difficulty connecting to the network today,” the South African-owned network provider with about 77 million users said. “We’re looking into this and are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
